CLAUSTROPHOBIA, by Desmond Elliott Prize longlisted author, Jason Hewitt, received its world premiere at Edinburgh Fringe and transferred to the Hope Theatre in 2016, receiving multiple 4 star reviews.
A woman. A man. Trapped in a lift.
Isolated from the outside world, games and fantasies blur into memories neither wishes to confront. They project everything they hope, want, hate or fear; but which one, if either, is seeing the truth? Claustrophobia is a play about entrapment; about self-imprisonment; and what it means to be in control.
We were delighted to have supported the development of Rachel's story from workshop through to stage with the help of Theatre Bench. The show was directed by Sharon Burrell, with design by Tom Burgess.
